I've been looking at the requirements for Spore and I currently can not run it. I've heard some things about Dell Inspiron 6000s being upgradeable.
It was bought about 3 years ago, and it most likely has the most basic (and cheapest) hardware that comes standard: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inspiron_6000#Inspiron_6000
I know for sure that I have a 1.6GHz processor and that I need at least 2.0GHz for Spore.
